I love you guys. I need you guys, but you don’t get to sit around for the rest of my life deciding what I’m supposed to be like. I mean, you weren’t there. You weren’t inside of my head when I was fucked up. You are certainly not there now.
Kadence sits up a little as soon as she noticed Jessica’s peculiar driving. She arches her brow and glances back at Jessica then back at the road peering up at the street signs then back at Jess. “Where…Jess you missed the exit…….Where are you taking me?” She pouts and sighs, honestly not in the mood for any new adventures.
“Jess, if you are planning to get lost on purpose again please count me out, I’m in no mood to go street hunting in Las Vegas again.”
“Calm down. I know exactly where I am going in fact…” She smiles as the exit for the beach comes into view. She turns onto the turn-about and glances over at Kadence for her reaction. “Just trust me on this one okay?” She gives a nod, unable to stop smiling as she pulls into the parking lot. She parks and sighs taking a deep breath. “Ok, come on, let’s go for a walk!” She cheerily says as she gets out of the car, pulling Kadence along with her.
She drags her to the far right end of the beach just as she was told, and just like that, she attempts to make a run for it.
“See you later, Kade…just…stay there, okay?!” She giggles and leaves her friend to stand alone on the beach, beneath the stars and in the chill of the night.
She smirks, keeping her head tilted curiously as Jess answers. “Besides the point what do you—-Hah! Knew it. But hey, what is the point of living together if you can’t get lucky every now and then. You two seem really happy. I’m…happy for you. You know that right?”
She looks over at her and takes her hand. She is discreet as she purposefully misses the exit to where they were going. She drives straight for the beach, no mention of her strange turn of directions.
“Mkay…” She furrows her brow and gets into the car…uncertain until she sees the bright smile on Jessica’s face. She smirks and cants her head curiously. “What are you so gloaty about? Did you get laid?” She teases.
Jessica scoffs pretending to be offended then laughs softly. “Wait. NO! That is besides the point and also none of your business!…But yeah. Yeah I did.” She laughs.
…Ice cream? Jess it’s…No you know what? Ice cream sounds great. Alright.
Great! Let’s go.
[They drive along, quietly at first, Jessica fidgeting with the radio. She takes a deep breath, a bright smile playing on her lips]
Get your scrawny ass in my car right now, we are going for ice cream. Come on, right now.
